1900s
The Taché family’s journey started in Damascus, Syria, with a modest jewellery shop run by Joseph and his son Jacques Taché in the heart of the souk.
1948
After relocating to Beirut, Jacques Taché entered the rough diamond trade, setting the course towards Antwerp.
1957
Jacques Taché founded Taché Company NV in Antwerp. Joined by his eldest sons, the business began its international expansion.

1960s
Rapid global expansion into major diamond centers.
1970s
Opening of the first manufacturing facility in Belgium and securing its first De Beers Sightholder status.

1980s
Taché became the largest importer of polished diamonds from the USSR and opened a major factory in Johannesburg, South Africa, employing 300 people and awarded in the group’s second De Beers Sight.
1990s
New facilities opened in Armenia, Russia, Malaysia, strengthening Taché’s position as a versatile manufacturer catering to all sizes of the diamond industry.
2000s
Taché opened a factory in Botswana, earning a third Sight from De Beers, reinforcing its ethical sourcing strategy and commitment to responsible practices.
2003
The acquisition of Sylvie Eric strengthened Taché’s position with leading luxury brands in France.
2010s
Taché repositioned toward the luxury segment, investing in R&D and premium service for top-tier brands.
2016- 2020
2016: Queen of Kalahari – 342ct rough, polished into 23 diamonds for Chopard.
2018: Lesotho Legend– 910ct rough, at the time the fifth largest gem-quality rough diamond ever unearthed. Creating 67 diamonds, the largest 79.35ct, for Van Cleef & Arpels, set in their 25-piece Mystery Set Collection.
2020: Letšeng Icon – 439ct rough, yielding a 101.94ct D-flawless emerald-cut diamond, the largest ever graded by GIA.
2022
Octa, a Parisian high jewellery atelier, was launched. Antwerp HQ added a new floor dedicated to melee diamonds, certified stones and Research and Development.
