General

Yes, private clients can buy from Taché, but we offer this service specifically for diamonds of one carat and larger. When purchasing, clients will receive a recognized certification, most commonly GIA.

Taché attends major trade shows, such as the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show in early March, GemGenève in Switzerland in early May and JCK in Las Vegas (generally end of May). If you are an existing client, you can book a meeting with your dedicated salesperson. If you are new, you are more than welcome to visit our booth during the show!

For new clients, we apply our standard price list and do not offer immediate discounts. However, as we build a long-term relationship, Taché considers purchase frequency and volume. In those cases, we may offer tailored discounts or extended payment terms.

Once the KYC is approved and a trade account is created, each client is assigned a salesperson. From that point, all orders can be placed directly through their dedicated sales contact or via our online platforms.

To open a trade account, new clients must complete the KYC process. They can do this by contacting us and we will provide the procedure to submit their KYC information. Once approved internally, we will provide the client with login credentials for our sales platforms and their trade account will be fully set up.

For urgent requests, once your trade account is open, your dedicated salesperson will be your primary point of contact. They will manage any time-sensitive sourcing or shipping needs directly.

With 70 years of experience, Taché is a trusted leader dealing exclusively in natural diamonds. We combine in-house manufacturing with a dedicated R&D team to ensure 100% guaranteed authenticity and traceability. Our profound industry knowledge and rigorous quality control offer you not just diamonds, but peace of mind and a long-term partnership built on integrity.

Sourcing

Yes, we can provide a planning assessment for rough, but this typically applies to significant stones or unique cutting projects. When a client is involved early — before manufacturing — we work together to align the cutting plan with their vision, especially for special cuts or notable sizes. For standard smaller stones, our expertise ensures optimal cutting without the need for a detailed consultation.

For melee diamonds, as a Sightholder, we source rough directly and manufacture in-house, ensuring full traceability from rough to polished melee. For certified diamonds, we use blockchain solutions like Tracr and Digital Origin Reporting (DOR), alongside laser inscriptions, to document each diamond’s journey with full transparency.

Taché directly sources rough diamonds through several channels. As a DTC Sightholder, we receive rough from a mixture of mines in Canada, Namibia, South Africa and Botswana. We also work with junior miners such as Gem Diamonds, KAO, Burgundy, Petra and Blue Fontaine. Additionally, we source through tender houses like Bonas and Transatlantic.

For all rough diamond shipments, we provide full compliance through the Kimberley Process certification. This documentation ensures the provenance of the diamonds, confirming that they are conflict-free and meet international trade standards.

Traceability gives confidence: it assures ethical sourcing, compliance with regulations, and guarantees authenticity. Customers know their diamond’s origin and ethical journey, ensuring it aligns with their values.

Melee

Yes, currently for white melee diamonds up to colour I. For brands with repeat orders, we can build consistent assortments over time based on an agreed visual target and manufacturing standard, subject to availability and lead time.

Yes, depending on stock availability and the complexity of the request. Please share your deadline, destination and specifications, and we will confirm what is feasible, including the possibility of partial shipments if required.

Calibrated means the stones are sorted by millimetre size in precise 0.05 mm increments (from 0.60 mm up to 4.25 mm). This ensures consistent setting results and visual uniformity across a parcel.

To provide an accurate quotation, we typically require the following information: target mm size (or range), total carat weight, colour appearance target, clarity target, fluorescence preference, and the intended use (pavé, halo, micro-setting). This allows us to optimise the parcel for the specific application.

As DTC Sightholders, we receive aggregated rough diamonds from several mining countries, primarily Canada, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. In addition, we source rough through tender houses, allowing us to maintain a diversified and consistent supply.

We can provide a clear commercial breakdown of the parcel, including specification range, sorting approach and any client-specific requirements. If additional compliance documentation is required for a brand programme, please inform us in advance so we can confirm what can be issued.

Certified

Yes, depending on the specification and availability. For repeat styles such as eternity rings, tennis bracelets, necklaces or matched layouts, we aim to maintain consistency in appearance, proportions and overall presentation over time.

Yes. If the design is still being developed, we would be happy to help guide the stone selection based on the intended application, technical constraints and target visual result, while also bringing our savoir-faire to help shape the most suitable design and stone selection.

Yes. We can assist in matching certified side stones to a centre stone based on the required shape, proportions, colour balance, clarity range and overall visual harmony.

Yes. We can support layouts, matched sets and bespoke requests depending on the project scope, technical requirements and stone availability.

Yes, depending on stock, specifications and the complexity of the request. If you share your deadline and requirements in advance, we can confirm what is feasible.

Yes. As we manufacture in-house, we can work to specific dimensional and symmetry requirements where the project calls for it, subject to feasibility and the nature of the request.

We select diamonds with close attention to visual balance, including proportions, brilliance, colour appearance and symmetry, so the final result remains cohesive and commercially usable.

To prepare an accurate selection, we typically need information regarding carat weight, desired shape(s), colour range, clarity range, fluorescence preference, intended use and any matching or layout requirements.

Each diamond is accompanied by its GIA certificate, and we can also provide a clear commercial overview of the selected stones and any project-specific details where needed. Origin of provenance and manufacturing is also communicated due to Group Taché being Sightholder at the DTC.

This department is particularly suited to classic jewellery applications requiring certified stones, such as solitaires, side stones, eternity rings, tennis bracelets, necklaces and other matched jewellery pieces.

We offer end-to-end support—from refining your brief to selecting stones—ensuring the diamond’s rarity, visual presence and project suitability.

R&D

Yes, we provide screening reports and verification documentation upon request, supporting our clients’ compliance and due diligence requirements.

Yes, we screen 100% of our melee diamonds, ranging in size from 0.55 mm to 4.25 mm, with a strict zero-tolerance policy toward synthetics—guaranteeing 100% natural origin.

Certified stones are not routinely re-screened, as their natural origin is already verified by recognized gemmological laboratories (e.g. GIA certification). However, any certified stones returned by clients undergo verification checks and their documentation is carefully reviewed to ensure full compliance.

We meticulously test every diamond using advanced spectroscopic screening technology. Our process is further strengthened by proprietary, in-house developed automated testing machines, ensuring a highly reliable and consistent verification workflow. This allows us to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in identifying natural and Synthetic diamonds.

Any suspected synthetic or treated stones are immediately isolated, sealed, and removed from the parcel. These stones are retained strictly for research and analysis purposes.

At the same time, we conduct a thorough internal traceability investigation to identify the origin and point of entry of the stone within the supply chain, ensuring continuous improvement and prevention.

Shipping

Yes, absolutely. All of our shipments are fully insured at 100% of their value, so your order is protected throughout its journey to you.

Yes, we ship internationally to ensure our clients receive their orders wherever they are. We work with trusted carriers like Malca Amit, Ferrari and Brinks, ensuring secure and reliable delivery worldwide.
