Empower Communities & Encourage Change
We collaborate with credible NGOs with impactful support on-site to collectively launch our own transformative projects. Our efforts foster meaningful, lasting change — in the regions we operate in and in the lives we help uplift.
The Taché Foundation
Throughout the years, we have supported various philanthropic organisations, embodying our commitment to positive community impact. Over time, as our attention shifted towards trying to make a real difference on the ground, Taché wanted to create a more hands-on approach and to establish genuine partnerships with regional NGOs. This is how The Taché Foundation was born.
Track2Impact
Measurement equals knowledge. We envision a future where every dollar donated is meticulously tracked, documented and reported through our Track2Impact system. We are committed to direct our investments towards measurable initiatives in order to have a significant and valid effect on our society and the world. Occasionally, certain projects evolve into a legitimate case study to inspire our stakeholders and to help us amplify our contribution.
Promoting Sustainable Communities
Our partnership with Lesotho’s Rural Self-Help Development Association (RSDA) began in 2021 when Taché provided an Egg Hatcher and Setter Incubator to support the Poultry project the Mafeteng District. This initiative has shown remarkable growth, expanding from one to two incubators – the new equipment has the potential to supply more than 10,000 indigenous chickens of breeding stock per year to more than 1000 rural communities. It has created local employment opportunities and improved food security by making eggs and chickens available to the community at below-market rates.
Our donation served as a catalyst for even greater impact. Recognizing the project’s potential, a U.S. organization took interest and decided to support RSDA with a multi-year expansion initiative. This partnership has amplified the project’s reach, ensuring long-term sustainability and greater benefits for rural communities. The Taché Foundation’s contribution became the jumping point for a larger transformation, reinforcing the power of strategic investment in community-driven development.
United Against Gender-Based Violence
What started off as a verbal expression of goodwill to support, soon became a full fledge commitment to drive long-term change. Our partner NGO, the Botswana Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Support Centre (BGBVC), has the largest footprint in the fight against gender-based violence.
Since 2021, this collaboration has provided essential services to over 349 victims and survivors. During Covid-related lockdowns, cases surged, prompting us to step up our investment in shelters. Today, 43% of victims and survivors affected by gender-based violence have found refuge within them.
The progress made so far shows that change is possible, while underscoring the need for continued, collective action.
